Android companion app #
The AccountsPlus Android companion app provides quick access to your invoicing data on the go.
Features #

The Android app is a lightweight companion to the desktop application. For full features (reports, PDF generation, data export), use the desktop or CLI interface.
Requirements #
- Android 8.0 (API 26) or later
- Active cloud sync subscription
- Internet connection for sync
Installation #
From APK #
- Download the APK from the releases page
- Enable “Install from unknown sources” in Android settings
- Open the APK to install
From Google Play (when published) #
- Search for “AccountsPlus” in the Play Store
- Install the app
Set up #
Connect to server #
- Open the AccountsPlus app
- Tap Settings
- Enter your server URL (e.g.,
https://sync.accountsplus.app) - Enter your email and password
- Tap Connect
Sync data #
After connecting, your data syncs automatically. You can also pull manually:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Sync Now
Quick Invoice #
Create invoices while away from your desk:
- Tap Quick Invoice on the home screen
- Select or search for a customer
- Add line items:
- Tap Add Item
- Enter description, quantity, and price
- Review the total
- Tap Save
The invoice syncs to your other devices when connected.
Quick Search #
Find anything quickly:
- Tap Quick Search on the home screen
- Enter a search term (customer name, invoice number, etc.)
- View matching results
- Tap a result to see details
Settings #
Connection #
- Server URL: Your sync server address
- Email: Your login email
- Status: Connection status indicator
Sync #
- Sync Now: Manually trigger a sync
- Last Sync: When data was last synchronized
- Auto-sync: Toggle automatic syncing

Limitations #
The Android companion is intentionally lightweight:
- No PDF generation (use desktop for invoices)
- No expense receipt photos (use desktop)
- No reports or analytics (use desktop)
- No data export (use desktop or CLI)
For full functionality, use the desktop application or CLI.
Data privacy #
- Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS)
- The app stores minimal data locally
- Server connection uses secure authentication
- No data is shared with third parties
Troubleshooting #
“Cannot connect” #
- Verify the server URL in Settings
- Check your internet connection
- Ensure your credentials are correct
“No data” #
- Pull data from Settings > Sync Now
- Check your server connection
- Verify you’re logged in with the correct account
“App crashes” #
- Close and reopen the app
- Check for app updates
- Clear app data and reconnect
